About Dr. Vaidehi Shah
Born and raised in India, Dr. Shah completed her Pediatric Residency from Texas Tech University, El Paso. She has been practicing Pediatrics in Ashburn and Chantilly area for past 5 years. Dr. Vaidehi Shah enjoys participating in community activities that help educate parents and children. She received “Best Community Service” award during her residency. She lives with the vision to serve the community. Dr. Shah took an initiative to start her own practice Akshar Pediatrics in Gainesville area, with values that truly reflects her morale.
Dr. Vaidehi Shah has wide experience in diagnosing and managing varied Pediatric conditions which includes but not limited to various newborn health issues, breastfeeding concerns, asthma, allergies, ADHD, autism and other behavioral problems, skin issues, GI issues and orthopedic problems. She has been actively conducting newborn rounds at hospitals such as INOVA Fair Oaks, NOVANT UVA Haymarket and Prince William hospital, Manassas.
Dr. Shah practices preventive and evidence based medicine.
She is loved by all her patients and has always been acknowledged and recognized for her excellent bedside manners and listening to parental concerns.
Dr. Vaidehi Shah speaks English, Gujarati, Hindi and basic Spanish.
About Hannah Twomey
Hannah was born and raised in the Warrenton, VA area as the oldest of five siblings. She graduated with honors after obtaining her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Health Sciences from James Madison University in May 2018. She later attended Physician Assistant school at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Boone and Winston-Salem, NC in which she completed in May 2021.
Hannah has decided to pursue a career in pediatrics because she loves to see her patients grow, develop and learn. She wishes to have a positive impact on each child she encounters. She has a breadth of experience diagnosing conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, behavioral disorders, depression, sports medicine, post-concussion syndrome, and promoting health education and literacy.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
Hannah lives close by with her Dalmatian, Smokey. When she is not at work, she loves to read, hike, explore new restaurants, and travel to the beach or Lake Anna. Hannah is very excited to bring her love of pediatrics to the practice and her patients, and their parents.
About Erin Baigis
Erin was born and raised in Frederick County, Maryland. She graduated from Hagerstown Community College in 2016 with her Associates Degree in Nursing and shortly after, received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Towson University in 2017. She continued her journey by pursuing her Masters Degree in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Shenandoah University in 2022.
Erin has worked in Northern Virginia as a Registered Nurse since 2016, specializing in Labor & Delivery and Maternal - Newborn care. As a Nurse Practitioner, she has experience at a pediatric Urgent Care specializing in sick visits, injuries, as well as various acute and chronic conditions. She has experience caring for newborns as well as children of all ages.
Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her family, read, and go to the beach. She lives close by with her husband and her golden retriever, Tucker.
