Akshar Pediatrics LLC is registered and approved by the VDH as a COVID19 Vaccination Site. We are currently have a supply of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 and over. We are following VDH and CDC guidelines for immunization. Our established vaccine policy requires a child to be up to date on well care to be immunized.

How We Keep YOU Safe

The emergence of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community has forced us to change some of our office policies and procedures to assure the health and well-being of all our patients and staff.

Effective immediately, our office will abide by the following procedures:

  • There is a new policy in place to keep well and sick patients separated. Upon arrival, you will be given special instructions.
  • There will be no walk-in appointments.
  • Morning hours will be reserved for well visits and non-infectious issues.
  • Afternoon and evening will be reserved for sick visits.
  • We strongly encourage only 1 parent to bring the patient requiring care to the office. If at all possible, please do not bring siblings.
  • Forms/requests should be mailed, emailed or faxed.
  • We cannot perform testing for the coronavirus (COVID-19). If you believe your child may have an infection, please talk to us by phone and we can direct you to the proper facility.
  • If your child has fever and cough and a recent history of travel to high risk area or known exposure to the coronavirus, please do not come in the office but instead talk to us by phone.

Tele Medicine

No apps to down load, no special processes that make life difficult and it’s HIPAA compliant and easy to schedule. You can use your phone or computer for tele-medicine. We would love to tell you more. It’s a fantastic way to have your child’s health concerns addressed in the privacy of your home.
